Founder
Justin Hettinga is a structural engineer and heritage practitioner with almost twenty years of experience working across complex heritage and architecturally significant projects in Australia and internationally. He is recognised for combining rigorous structural engineering with conservation led thinking to deliver sensitive, well considered outcomes for significant places.
Justin has specialist training in the analysis and conservation of historic structures, holding a master’s degree in Structural Analysis of Monuments and Historical Constructions from the University of Padua and the Czech Technical University. His heritage work includes investigations, monitoring, and conservation interventions on nationally and internationally significant sites.
He is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Full International Member of ICOMOS Australia, and an Expert Member of Iscarsah (ICOMOS Heritage Structures Committee), and is actively involved in research, publication, and international knowledge exchange in heritage engineering.
